OBJECTIVE

It is for me to pass on the teaching methods for:

  • to give a quality course
  • manage the various problems that may arise within the Group
  • generate the motivation at any level.

MODULES
  • First module of Colombian salsa, level beginner
  • Second module of Colombian salsa, intermediate level
STEPS
  • Tutoring: the intern will start with training provided by Maritza.
  • Group classes: the intern will participate in group classes given by Maritza giving him homework which will relate to search for songs or methods of group dynamics.
  • Intensive specialized courses: pedagogy and practice of Colombian salsa provided by Maritza and other Colombian dance specialists invited by Maritza.
  • Assessment: Students will give a group lesson to the students of the Academy and will be evaluated by Maritza.
  • Topics: Technique of Colombian salsa or calena
  • Trick in Colombian salsa technology
  • Figures of calena salsa
  • Game of feet and quickness in the Colombian salsa
  • Afro-Colombian: “cumbia”, “currulao”, “Carnival”
  • Teaching techniques in dance
  • Steps of learning: motivation, working individual and couple, role of the rider and the rider, assessment levels, practical social salsa in the evening.
  • Body expression
  • Musicality of Colombian salsa
  • “pachanga” and “el bugaloo”
  • Origins and history of Colombian salsa
  • Creation and improvisation in salsa
CONDITIONS
  • Have a minimum level intermediate-advanced in any style salsa

The future teacher can follow his training the weekend or during the week, during a selected period:

  • 3 months: 230 hours
  • 6 months: 350 hours
  • 12 months: 350 hours
  • 12 months: 400 hours
  • 4 weekend: 20 hours

Maritza gives lessons, tutoring and internships of Colombian salsa, zumba and Latin American dances (merengue, cumbia, bachata,...) for adults and adolescents in the heart of Paris (Bastille and Town Hall).

Whether you are a beginner or Cuban or Puerto Rican salsa dancer, you are welcome.
